About Robert Hynes Consulting:
First of all, my work is guaranteed - until of course someone else breaks it.
Your network is yours and will always be. You will be provided information on how your network is set up, you will get all of the passwords related to your network. I will not hijack your network - you paid for the hardware and software, it's yours - not mine. I don't believe in holding anything back from you - the client.
My business policy is not to carry maintenance contracts - you'll be paying me for pretty much nothing. Many of my clients don't see me for months at a time cause they are not having any issues. Currently I have clients that have had no problems with their server(s) for 5 years.
Acceptable use policies - I always try to get businesses to deploy an acceptable use policy - this is a basically a list of do's and dont's for your employees to follow with regards to your network and internet. It's a legal contract signed by all involved and will release you from any liability from what your employees do online. It's a free peice of paper that can save alot of hassles if an employee is to be terminated or reprimanded for their actions.
Certifications:
I have none but i'm the one people call when the MCSE's of the world mess up their network. Qualifications mean nothing to me this day in age cause anyone can write an exam, pass it and call themselves an expert in their field. Having a peice of paper doesn't mean they have the real world experience - and you must realize that. I know people with the alphabet behind their name but they are yet to sit in front of a server.
I have personally been working in computers and IT for over 16 years now and it's been a fun apprenticeship. Yes I have been to college twice - i'm a plastics engineer by trade but I made the leap back into college for computers for the challenges it exposed. I've always tended to learn everything on my own. I've had a few really good teachers, ones with patience or ones interested in sharing the knowledge.
Thank you.

My clients trust me and my business practices to keep them running and keep them safe, they will tell you that. I recognize that trust is the number one issue that you will have with any tech and I don't take lightly the fact that you are putting your company in my hands. Trust is a big word here.
Not the typical 9 to 5 tech, the job gets done - if you have a server crash, staying til the bitter end is my goal. I've been known to stay on site for 36 plus hours to get companies up and running after catastrophic network crashes.
